Launch of the 2nd impregnation line, IM7, in Malaysia
The official launch event of the 2nd impregnation line took place yesterday, November 25th at L.P.Pacific Films Sdn. Bhd., in Malaysia. The ribbon Cutting Ceremony, mill tour and the press conference were hosted by Markku Hämäläinen, CEO of Kotkamills Oy and Mikael Strömberg, President of LPPF.
Kotkamills has invested in Imprex production to strengthen its position as the leading global supplier of overalying films for plywood industry.
LPPF (L.P. Pacific Films) is a subsidiary fully own by Kotkamills Oy, located on Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. The company manufactures phenol resin impregnated surface films for plywood industry and impregnated core stock for laminating industry. The raw paper for Imprex products is supplied from Kotkamills Finnish mills (PM7 Imatra and PM1 Kotka). LPPF uses the same registered product marks as the parent company Imprex® Films and Imprex® Core Stock
The main market area for LPPF are South East Asia and Latin America.
The company employs approximately 40 people.
